There's a special hatch near the bottom part of the bike that lets you easily get to the shock. This makes it simple to make changes to how the bike rides and to fix or put in a new cable for our TwinLoc Suspension System.
With the new Spark bike, you can change how straight or tilted the front part of the bike is by a .6 degrees slacker or steeper. You can do this without having to mess with the cables or the brakes. All you need to do is take apart the handlebars, turn the round pieces at the front 180 degrees, and then put it all back together.
Our special design lets us make the bike's suspension work better without making the bike heavier. In high-end biking, making even tiny improvements is very important.
We make sure the bike's power goes straight where it needs to, without any wasted side movements as the suspension squeezes.
By having the suspension built into the design, we can do a few things better. We make the bike frame stronger around the suspension area, so there's less wiggling and power goes right where it's supposed to. Also, we can put in bigger parts at the turning point near the seat, making that area even stronger and cutting down on moves we don't want. Our design also puts the suspension lower in the bike, which makes the bike more balanced. This means the bike handles better, feels more stable, and gives the rider more confidence.
These improvements might seem small by themselves, but all together, they make the suspension work much better. Plus, the suspension is completely protected from things like rain, so it keeps working great no matter the weather.
A good full suspension bike needs great suspension to work well. When we first tried the Spark bike with its single pivot design, we loved it. Years later, we still think it's the best for races on rough trails and fast, short tracks.
The Spark bike has a special kind of suspension that moves smoothly and doesn't add extra weight, making it easier to handle. We use a flexible pivot in the seat stay, which is a good choice for bikes that don't need a lot of suspension travel. This helps us keep the bike light but still lets it perform well on rough ground.
Choosing the right materials to make a bike frame gets us most of the way there. But the hard work comes in the last bit. We use top-notch carbon fibers and special computer programs, like FEA software, to figure out where to put each carbon layer.
This software, FEA, lets us see how different forces affect a pretend model of the frame on a computer. We can then make changes to make sure the frame will hold up in real life.
With our special Evo-Lap technology, we can make the frame just right. We play with the design on the computer, testing how different layers and positions handle stress. Thanks to this computer work, we've made our carbon layers the best they can be.
When we put all the parts together for the first try, we got a bike frame that is super light and small, but still tough and comfy. All of our bikes got better because of our Evo-Lap technology.
